Neggst French Toast

Looking for something special for your Sunday brunch? Here is a simple recipes for a vegan French toast.
Yeld: 4 people
Difficulty: easy
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 200 ml Neggst
- 160ml soya or oat milk
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 8 thick slices 2-day-old bread (better if slightly stale)
- Vegan Butter (or vegetable oil)
- Maple syrup
As optional:
- 2 teaspoons freshly grated orange zest
- Fresh berries
- Triple sec
Let's start by whisking in a bowl Neggst, oat milk and cinnamon. Add the orange zest and/or, for the most partygoers, triple sec. Whisk the mixture until well blended and pour it into a shallow bowl, wide enough to fit a slice of the bread you will be using.
Place the bread slices in the mixture, letting the bread absorb it. Melt the vegan butter (or vegetable oil) in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Shake the excess egg mixture off the bread and place the slices on the hot pan. Fry them until golden brown on one side, then turn them over and brown the other side.
Decorate the french toast with berries and maple syrup and they are ready to serve with a fabulous Mimosa for the perfect Sunday Funday.
